Nichelle Pinkney

Nichelle is a passionate history enthusiast that believes that social studies  should build student action, agency and activism through the appreciation of diverse cultures and histories. So being a part of the Learning that Transfer work is a dream come true!  She currently serves as a K-12 Social Studies and World Language Director where she  creates their curriculum.  Her goals are to: build and foster collaborative relationships with students, teachers and their community, to inspire and aid in the construction of meaningful learning experiences that meet all student needs, and to empower all learners to be forever learners that focus on continuous improvement. She is excited about her forthcoming book, Civil Discourse: Classroom Conversations for Stronger Communities, will be published in the Spring of 2022 by Corwin Press.
