In June of 2013 (original post here), we created this checklist to help us self-assess and stay focused on the type of leaders we wanted to be — generative, cage-busting, systems-thinking. We needed something quick, easy, and compact, unlike many of the self-assessments we had seen before, which consisted of pages and pages of scales and descriptors.
Take five minutes to print this out, tape it into your notebook, and rate yourself. Set a quick goal to focus on one of the indicators, then check back in for five minutes tomorrow. If you’re brave enough, ask a colleague or boss for feedback by turning some of the indicators into questions.
