We can’t provide the best education if we are not at our best.
I’ve searched the internet and found what I think to be the most helpful survey of well-being so far.
National Accounts of Well-Being is hosted by the New Economics Foundation whose tagline is “economics as if people and the planet mattered.” Love it! Take the survey to find out specific areas of strength and growth. It takes about 10 min to complete.
If you don’t want to click on that survey, Gallup-Healthways Solutions has five categories of well-being. You can take a look and determine which ones you might want to push yourself to improve.
» Purpose: Liking what you do each day and being motivated to achieve your goals
» Social: Having supportive relationships and love in your life
» Financial: Managing your economic life to reduce stress and increase security
» Community: Liking where you live, feeling safe and having pride in your community
» Physical: Having good health and enough energy to get things done daily
No big surprise for me is that I need to make more time for exercise!
