Jessica Mattei
When Jess went to school, she was a child with a lot of learning needs. She struggled greatly with attention and friendships in her elementary years, and while she felt very distanced from her elementary classrooms, she was fortunate to connect with some fantastic teachers in her middle and high school years. Her experience truly paved the way to her passion in education early on. Jess was determined to make sure ALL students in her classroom would feel valued, loved, and empowered to take ownership of their learning. Today, she helps elementary school teachers to engage in best practices to support student growth in both academic and socio-emotional competencies. Further, Jess is passionate about preparing students for a future that we cannot quite predict. This passion brought her to the LTT team, and she is excited to extend her love of professional development to others seeking opportunities to grow their practice. She genuinely believes education is the silver bullet needed to solve even our greatest world challenges, and is dedicated to continued learning to support global change. Outside of her world-changing efforts, Jess enjoys time with her husband and three boys who continue to fuel her optimism for the future.
