As educators who want students to save the world via their learning, we probably spend most of our time looking out for and taking care of others. We do them a favor, actually, when we take a few minutes to be good to ourselves. No matter how busy you are or how long your to do list, I hope this post will inspire you to take a few minutes for yourself today. During lunch, your planning period or this evening, take at least 10 minutes to:

  • take a walk
  • sit down, close your eyes, and breathe deeply
  • take a long, hot shower or bath
  • put on some music and either relax or dance
  • go to bed a few minutes early
